Hyejung Keum received attention presenting poetic photographs where she draws beautiful and mysterious journey of finding childhood dream. By taking pictures of ‘realistic virtual space,’ she tries to free herself from the frame of universal sight and logic and, in that process, stimulates the audience’s imagination. Since it is new world from the accumulation of different images, her work needs theatrical installation, delicate photography, and hard work.  

Hyejung Keum received a Bachelor’s in pharmacy and a Master’s in pharmacology both from Dongduk Women’s University and completed her doctoral course in photography at Hongik University. Her solo exhibitions have been organized by Messenger –The Secret Light, Gallery EM(2014); Clue to Wonder, Space22(2016); Imagination, Story, Gallery Sogongheon(2021); Horse, Carp, Desert, and the Arctic, Art Space J(2022). Keum Hyejung also has been participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Project Mingle, seoul(2018); Photo May, Hongik Museum of Art(2018), PHOTO+SHIFT, Geumboseong Art Center(2021), South Korea touches Switzerland, Thun Startup Gallery, Switzerland(2023). Finally, she participated in the 2023 Busan International Photo Festival's theme exhibition "Visual Narrative" and won the top award in the portfolio review. As a privilege, she participated in Inspansion, Art Space Lumos(2024) and will have the 2024 Busan International Photo Festival Portfolio Award Exhibition.
