Just as one recalls the heart-swelling scent of acacias and a cluster of white flowers blooming in the light from their childhood, there are moments when a particular landscape or object stirs specific sensations or the imagination. Imagination is a sensory transformation through continuous exploration of an object, transcending the conventional systems of understanding. It represents a new power that can liberate us from stale forms, transforming familiar spaces into a collective realm  

In <Imagination, Story>, familiar real spaces metamorphose into realistic virtual spaces that do not exist (but could). These special spaces generate an ambiance of fear, mystery, strangeness, beauty, and dreaminess, allowing numerous stories to approach. The work involves placing photographic planes or actual objects in real spaces, staging various objects against photographic backgrounds, and ultimately capturing them in photographs. It's a kind of collage, a process of reconstituting spaces governed by imagination. The photographic outcomes are always flat, making the visual effects perceived in the images, depending on the combination of flatness and dimensionality, intriguing. 

So, where does imagination originate? Although its precise origin is unknown, it’s clear that the totality of past experiences lying dormant in the subconscious shapes who I am today. Hidden moments from the past sporadically reveal themselves during the creative process. This series of processes reflects my life and serves as an honest confession. Moreover, the act of embodying imagination instead of replicating reality liberates me and becomes a means to express my innate playfulness. As I unfold the world of imagination led by my heart, suddenly, a wondrous space of my own emerges. The process of self-exploration and deep internal immersion makes this possible, enabling, as Nietzsche said, the ‘highest richness and enjoyment of one’s own fullness through art’.
